An evening with the NUS Symphony Orchestra: young and ardent music lovers bring to life an impressive repertoire, including world-famous works like Rossini's 'The Barber of Seville' and extracts from Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning 'Schindler's List'.

Every year members of NUSSO take a break from the large orchestral setting to form smaller chamber groups. Chamber music, set in an intimate atmosphere as the term "chamber" suggests, provides a healthy respite for both the musicians and the audience.

‘Sturm und Drum’ refers to musical technique of punctuating quiet passages with sudden outbursts of sound much like bursts of thunder in a storm. This eclectic experience promises to delight the senses with works by Beethoven, Sibelius, Rimsky-Korsakov, Paganini and Hindemith; featuring Singapore-premieres of showpieces performed by the renowned viola soloist, Anatoly Zelinsky.
