Every year members of NUSSO take a break from the large orchestral setting to form smaller chamber groups. Chamber music, set in an intimate atmosphere as the term "chamber" suggests, provides a healthy respite for both the musicians and the audience.

This year, we present you Miniatures, where we showcase a flute duet, an oboe quintet, a percussion ensemble, a bass quartet and a violin trio, apart from the more commonly heard of string quartets.

In addition to the rare ensemble combinations, Miniatures also features pieces from Dvořák’s ”American” String Quartet No. 12 in F, to Tony Osborne’s Blues-Style, to a brand-new original composition by our very own musician Emily Koh titled Sephiroths. So come join us and be treated to an array of bite-sized pieces from classical to contemporary, as we bring the instruments of the orchestra, as well as its players, up-close and personal!
